29 and 30 Weeks!!! (12.31.13)

Tomorrow I will be 30 WEEKS! I have been so busy with the holidays and I can't seem to knock this annoying cold! Grrr! I thought it was almost gone and now my throat is SO sore again! Sigh! Can I just feel healthy again please!?

The past couple weeks symptom wise have been more of the same. I am just really getting uncomfy and sore! It's getting hard to get up, sit down, and especially roll over from side to side when I am sleeping. I feel like I am all bruised up! I know this is all going to get worse... still 10 more weeks to go!

Lil baby Noah is breech right now.. his head is up by my ribs and he decided to give me a few good punches last night so I am a tad sore there too! It's the low kicks that really get me tho! I still love feeling him move tho, so I really can't complain tooooo much :)

We had our 3-D ultrasound at the very end of week 28.. and wow! I am so amazed by what they can see!! He is SOOOOOO cute! Of course I will think this.. but really... he is :)
Such a lil button nose and his little lips! I love love love him so much! I can't wait to meet him!

I'll put a few pics in @ the end! It was hard to get good pics because he was using the placenta as a pillow... AND he was all curled up like a taco! My little rollie-pollie! His feet were up near his face and he even had his fingers and toes in his mouth at the same time! He gave us a few yawns and stretches, but always would go back to his same cozy position! It was amazing to see him... I had the biggest smile on my face the entire ultrasound! I love having the photos and video to watch over and over! It is something I will 4ever cherish! Best Christmas gift EVER!

I heard from my doctor and he is measuring just fine! 59% for weight.. she said he is right on track! I have another appointment tomo, so we will see what else she says!

We start all our baby and birthing classes in January! We are booked basically every weekend with one class or another! I'm excited tho! Eager to learn :)

Hmmm.. Oh yes! We also had our maternity photo shoot! We went to the gardens where we got married and did the photos there! One of my best friends from elementary school is a photographer and she took them for us. I've seen a few so far and LOVE them! :)
Here is one from our 4-D Scan! His sweet lil face.. and there's his foot @ the bottom!

Getting bigger and bigger by the second!!!

28 Weeks! (12.17.13)

And another week down! Today I actually have my growth scan, which I will update about! I am praying that he is looking good and maybe not measuring SOOOO big! Guess we will see... not much I can really do! I just need to focus on being healthy and hanging in there!

Unfortunately a few days ago I started coming down with a cold. I was just feeling "off" on Friday and pretty much slept all day and just lounged around. I felt like I was back in the 1st trimester! Then the sore throat started and the runny nose and BAM.. sick :*(

Now its a headache, stuffy nose, and pretty nasty rough cough. I just pray it passes in the next few days before the holiday fun really begins! It is never fun to be sick, but its 10000X worse when your pregnant too! Bleeeeh! I am just going to try and rest and drink lots of fluids and if it doesn't get better I can see the Doc.

Exciting news... we are going to get a 4-D ultrasound this FRIDAY! :) I will be well into week 28... and I think she recommended 25-33? Something around that range anyway! We decided to get one done because they are having a holiday special at this ultrasound facility and I really want my husband to get to see the baby in this type of setting. I think 3-D photos can be crazy looking sometimes, but I think it will still be neat to just get a peek and get another chance to see him moving around in there! My husband has been to 2 ultrasounds with me (NT scan and the Anatomy scan), but it was so hard to see the screen and they were really quick! When I went to the elective ultrasound place to determine the gender I had such a positive experience and I really wanted us to share that again together. So, for a x-mas gift to one another we decided to go in and take a 4-D peek at our baby boy one time before we will meet him in March! I'm excited! It's so relaxing... a huge screen... lot's of photos and even a video to take home... can't wait! We figured it would be fun to share the video/pics with family for the holidays too, so that's the plan!

Baby has been mooooooooving and dancing! Yesterday it was off and on ALL day! My husband also saw the movement from the outside yesterday. "Woah, it's like a spasm!" hah. I've seen this little tummy jolts for weeks now, but its hard to catch them sometimes. Whenever he starts up, I get my camera out and he stops. I swear he knows I am filming!! Stubborn lil guy :) I also have experienced the full on rolling feeling more now.. I can really differentiate between kicks/jabs and full on body movement! Everything has just gotten stronger!

Guess I'll leave this week there.. but I'll include a few photos below! :)

Penny and the belly bump! She has been very snuggly lately.. prob due to the cold :)

Bump! 3 months to go!!

UPDATE:
Ultrasound went well... of course the tech couldn't tell me anything, but I did get a couple new cute pics! It was nice to see him again :)

Little Face!

High Five!!!!! :)

27 Weeks! (12.9.13)

Tomorrow I am officially 27 WEEKS! Hello 3rd.. yes THIRD trimester! WOW!

I had a checkup last Thursday at 26 weeks and everything was looking good. Doctor said his heart ultrasound rescans came back normal and that everything looked good (phew!). She went to measure him and sure enough... still measuring BIG.. I did ask this time and she said 30 weeks. Now it could be his position... he could be a big boy... or could be gestational diabetes. I of course was worried about option #3 and she had me do my 1 hour glucose test that morning. I've had a "high risk" pregnancy due to my slightly higher blood pressure and she told me normally they worry about a smaller baby with the higher bp, but apparently this is not the case in this situation!

I got my results later that evening.. and I PASSED! YAY! I think my level was 88 and you need under 130? I was shocked. I have another ultrasound in a week to check his growth, but he's sounding big.. or  again could just be laying in a weird way. We will see!

I had heard the glucose drink was so gross... so I was nervous, but you know in my opinion it really wasn't bad. I had the fruit punch flavor and it just tasted like a thicker more syrupy version of fruit punch. It didn't make me feel sick at all... but baby sure was on a sugar high most of the day and was kicking up a storm!

I can't believe in 3 months he will be here! I can't believe I am in the 3rd trimester. I know things will likely slow down the closer I get, but I am still so so excited :)

I also think I picked out what I am going to wear for my maternity photos!

I found this adorable top from Ross (made by Sassy Maternity?)
I think I am going to pair it with a black tie instead of the paler pink that it comes with... since I am having a boy. But I love the way it fits and I thought it would be cute and casual with black leggings and black cozy boots. I originally thought I wanted to wear a dress, but it will be colder and I just love how it looks on! Hopefully it will still fit the same in a few more weeks!

Guess that's all to update on for now! Hoping that the last 1/3 of this pregnancy goes by smoothly! XOXO

26 Weeks! (12.5.13)

Last week of the 2nd Trimester! CrAAAAzy!

It is so hard for me to believe that it is December and only a few more months and our little miracle will be here! I can only pray and hope that everything continues to go smoothly as it has the past 6 months.

I have another appointment with the doctor tomorrow, so I will update any details from that... I have my glucose test :-/... super nervous about it too. I'm nervous that this sweet drink is going to be as gross as I read about haha. I'm more nervous that I won't pass tho :(... So fingers crossed! It will be interesting to see if he is still measuring "big" tomorrow. I didn't ask how big last time for some reason... so I will be sure to tomorrow. My mom told me that my sister and I had both measured big at checkups, so that calmed my nerves a little. I just hope he is healthy and doing well in there!

Penny, our cat, was sleeping on my belly...using my stomach as a pillow and he started to kick. She felt it, but wasn't too startled, but opened her eyes a bit like she was annoyed hah. She NEVER sleeps in my lap and I'd love to think it was because of the baby, but I know its just because it has been so COLD lately. Ok ok... cold for here... not really cold at all haha.

I'll update more tomorrow if I have any news. Hoping all goes well as always!!

XOXO

25 Weeks! (11.29.13)

The 3rd Trimester is quickly approaching! Just a few more weeks! Nothing much to report during week 25.  Lil baby had his "first" Thanksgiving haha.. was kicking up a storm after the meal!

As far as symptoms go... I've had some pretty bad heartburn this week! (not fun) I have also felt him hiccuping and he continues to be active daily (kicking and wiggling about!) Nothing too new and exciting tho! I have my 1 hour glucose test next week and I'm a bit nervous about that. I've heard this sugary drink is disgusting, but I'm also worried about gestational diabetes. Hopefully everything will alright, but either way it's out of my control at this point and I just need to stay positive and really follow the advice of my doctor.

The nursery is looking ADORABLE! I can't wait to do a nursery tour. It's been so so SO fun organizing and decorating everything. I am buying his diaper pail tomorrow because the washable liners I ordered on etsy came in the mail this afternoon and I of course have to set it all up now! The bedding is almost done and once my husband puts up the crown molding and I set up the bed then I will finally do a proper tour and post lots of fun pics on here. I'm really loving how it is all coming together :) I don't want him to come early... but at the same time I can't help but feel very anxious and excited!

Oooh.. I also am in the process of getting my baby shower invites ordered! I decided to get a custom order done because I am big on invitations and had something "in mind" hah. My mom and sister are throwing me my shower, but I do want to help with whatever they need (I kind of live for these kinds of things ;) haha). They said I could figure out invites, make favors, and put together gifts for the games, so I am looking forward to getting all of those goodies together! My shower won't be til the end of January, but it's only 2 months away and with the holidays and what not I really feel like time will fly by and it will be here before I know it. I'm really excited :) I feel so blessed and I am SO thankful they are throwing me this shower.. I know it will be so special!

Hmmmm, guess that's it for now! I'm a little late with the 25 week update, as I will be 26 weeks in a few days, but I wanted to get my update in for the week!

24 Weeks! (11.19.13) Viability!

Another week down! This is the big "viability week 24".. If he was born now the odds of survival are better, but let's hope and pray he stays content in there for many many more weeks!!!

We are almost officially DONE with his nursery too! We just need to put in his bedding and put up crown molding! Everything else is all set up! Of course we still need things.. but I have decided to register for what we still need and I am slowly going to buy things off there as well til he arrives!

I'm getting more and more excited and can't help but peek inside his nursery at least a few times a day... :)

Nothing too new this past week... It has been a lot harder sleeping. He's pretty active at night, which doesn't bother me, but it is hard to get comfy! I keep switching from my left side to my right! My gums are also bleeding like crazy... one thing that has been driving me crazy lately! But, I really can't complain because overall I have been feeling great and it's been a relatively easy pregnancy compared to many! I actually love being pregnant.. theres something about it.. I just really am embracing the experience. There was a time when I really thought I would never have the chance to be pregnant, so now that I finally am I just really have to count my blessings and appreciate each moment!

I did make his mobile this week! I saw one online that I loooooved, but it was almost $100!! Yiikes! So, I decided to be my crafty self and make it myself! It ended up costing me only $10 in supplies and I think it turned out really sweet! Plus extra special right?! Made with Love?!

23 Weeks! (23.2 -11/14/13)

Time is ticking away! I still can't believe he will be here in 4 short months! I finally covered his light switch plate today...

I think it turned out pretty cute!

This is the same fabric we are using for a few other things in his nursery :)
I am in love with the colors!

I had my 2nd part of the anatomy scan today. They couldn't see his heart well last time because of his position. Today he was also all snuggled up and not cooperating, but she thinks she finally got the right photos after some poking and me moving all around! All I can do is pray he is healthy and that I DON'T get any phone calls. I kinda hate the no news is usually good news tho. I kind of wish they would just tell me either way as soon as they know! Oh well, I guess it is out of my control... happy thoughts and wishes that everything is fine!

I had my check up right before my ultrasound appointment and my doctor told me he is measuring big! Maybe a tall baby?! She asked if my husband was tall.. He's 6'2.. I'm 5'7.. Not really "tall" or "short".
Guess time will tell! She also went to check his heart rate using the doppler and he immediately started kicking! He was not a fan! She laughed and asked if I could feel him move.. I sure could!

It's amazing how much he has changed! He really has grown!
7 weeks -so small!!

23 weeks!

Milestone of the week?!
-I saw his movement from the outside this past week! He was really kicking and made my stomach wiggle a bit! He has been so active! I swear I felt him do a flip the other day as well! I love each and every movement :)

The nursery is coming along too! Here's a small sneak peak at part of it..
I can't wait to do a nursery tour! I will likely film a video and upload it to my YouTube channel, but I will also put some photos on here too! :)

I find myself just walking in there to let things all sink in! I hope he likes it! I have really enjoyed decorating and setting it all up!

22 Weeks! (11.5.13)

I'm officially 22 weeks as of tomorrow, but I wanted to get this post up this morning!

Last night -22.5 weeks, my husband felt the baby kick for the first time! I had been so excited for this moment! :) We were just resting in bed and I felt the lil guy kicking a bit so I placed my husband's hand on my stomach. It took a few seconds and then he felt him kick twice! :) I know that the kicks and movements are going to get stronger and stronger, but it was so amazing to finally have him feel and experience it with me! Every kick just reassures me that he is doing fine and makes everything so real! Hard to believe in 4 short months that he will be here in our arms! Our lives are going to change, and I can't wait!

Nothing too new has been going on other than that. He wasn't moving as much this past weekend so of course I was worried, but I read that can be normal. He still had a lot of room and is still small enough where I won't always feel everything! 22 weeks marks the big ONE pound mark and now he is 11 inches long.. almost a foot! It's crazy to think how when I first found out that I was pregnant he was only the size of a poppy seed!

Time is flying by... and I know it will be so busy with the holidays ahead! I'm just trying to enjoy it as much as I can and really prepare and plan for what I can! His nursery is looking SO cute! We have it mostly set up, just need his bedding, changing pad, and a few more decorations for the wall. I have been trying to slowly stock up on things he will need and I think that will pay off later on when I am too big and tired to want to do any of it haha. The next thing we really need to start buying are his cloth diapers. We are going to be using Bum Genius Freetime diapers and only have 2 so far. I'd like to buy about 20/22 more!

Here is the baby blanket I made him! It was the first time I tried out this "chevron/wavy" pattern, and I LOVE how it turned out! The colors are perfect in his nursery!

Penny and Lexi breaking in the new rug for the nursery! They like it! :)

I meant to post this pic back at 20 weeks, but better late than never!

20 Weeks! 1/2 way there! (10.22.13)

Wow, I can't believe it is the half way mark! 20 weeks today!

We had the big anatomy scan this morning! She confirmed that it is indeed a BOY :).. and we got several pictures to take home. I was a little disappointed that the photos weren't very clear, but it was amazing to see our lil baby again wiggling all around! He was playing with his feet, crossing his ankles, and opening his mouth up! It was too cute! Everything he does just amazes me already!!

His closet is getting very full now!! Thanks to generous friends and family we already have so much set up and ready for this lil guy. I can't wait to do a nursery tour and share some photos as well once it's more finished... but it is coming along! I know I'm a little too organized maybe for 20 weeks, but it feels good! I think there will be less stress in the end! I'm just so excited that I want to do everything and I want everything to be ready and "perfect"!

Symptoms 2nd trimester - I've had some nasty acne lately, which isn't too fun... AND I have been an emotional basket-case! I will start balling hysterically to the point of laughter for the most random reasons. My husband definitely gets a kick out of it! I just have no control over it! I really lose it haha. Other than that nothing much new going on!

Movement: He has been mooooooving so much lately! Today he was kicking and wiggling off and on all day! I love love love feeling him move! I get excited and actually look forward to the next time! It's such an amazing feeling! It really fills up my heart with so much love!

So this pregnancy is officially half way done! I hope the next half is as good to be as the first half has been. I can only pray and hope for a healthy delivery and baby in the end! I'm nervous, but so excited...

His baby book that I ordered arrived yesterday! :) It's adorable!!!

This is the bedding inspiration for his nursery! We ordered some of the fabric.. now I just need to figure out how to work my sewing machine :-p. I am SO in love with the colors!

19 Weeks! 10.15.13 + We have a NAME!!

Today is the 19 week mark!! Crazy to think the pregnancy is almost 1/2 way through! I am so excited tho and have really been trying to enjoy each day :)

I had another Doc appointment today and everything looked fine! His heartbeat was beating away and sounded good!

My doctor didn't spend much time looking at him.. it looked like he was sleeping (I felt him moving like crazy a few hours later when I was crocheting his baby blanket!). She took a couple photos for me.. but they were pretty blurry! In one he was crossing his legs.. and the other he had his elbow bent up and his hand resting on his forehead. The big 20 week anatomy scan is next week, so she said we'd get some good pictures then! I just hope and pray that everything looks good and that he's a healthy lil guy! I already love him so much!!

My husband and I have had the name pretty much decided for awhile now... we really liked 2 names for boy. We decided on...

:) We both love the name Noah.. and it just feels right! It is so special to call him by name! We really can't wait to meet him!

Bleh, I got the flu shot today... I normally don't get them, but my Doc really recommended it since being pregnant does weaken your immune system. Plus I work with kids who are full of germs, so I decided to get it. I am so tired now.. I may just have to nap! Wish it was cooler around here, it is still in the 80's!! Where is Fall???!!?

Guess that's all I really have to update for 19 weeks! :)

Closet Organizers for the Nursery!

Hey guys!

Today I decided to start working on some of the craft projects I have planned for the baby!
I went to Michael's last weekend and picked up some painted wooden animal pieces, paint, stickers, and plain wooden door hanging pieces to make closet dividers for his clothes!

As easy as 1-2-3!

1.) paint -front/back/edges
2.) hot glue animals on
3.) add stickers @ the tops for sizes and for decoration!

This is how they turned out... TaDa!

I knew I wanted to use stickers to label the sizes at the top so that these can be changed for future growth :) Right now they can be used up to 24 months!

I'm going to hang them in the closet to divide up all the sizes of clothing so it will be easier to stay organized... plus it makes the closet cute too!

We are doing a theme that involves animals, but you could really decorate them anyway! Be creative!

It's a....

Boy or Girl?!?!

I had to "wrap" up the envelope with the gender so that I wouldn't peek before our trip!!

Ah!!! The suspense is driving me crazy!!

@ our spot on the beach in Malibu, Ca -Oct. 3rd, 2013

BOY!!

Guess intelligender was right for us! We are having a lil boy! :)

We couldn't be more thrilled! Either way we would have been so excited.. all we really want is a happy and healthy baby.. (I know everyone says this.. but it's true!) I feel so blessed and lucky to be having this baby that it really didn't matter to me if it was a boy or a girl. I just wanted to KNOW! :) I kind of secretly did want a little boy first.. to be the "big brother".. in case we have a lil girl one day :-p...

Quick version:
It was such a special moment when we found out! I will forever cherish the memory.
We actually took a special trip back to the place where we met and fell in love just 9 short years ago -UCLA! (to the very date.. Oct. 3rd). We had the gender sealed in an envelope and went to our special spot on the beach where my husband first told me he loved me. We opened the envelope at the exact same spot.. and found out we were going to have a son! :) What a special way to celebrate that I will never forget. We later watched the ultrasound video together and it was amazing to see our lil boy wiggle and move around! He's such a cutie :)

The next day we went around UCLA's campus taking pictures of our lil "Pookie".. in blue or pink. Then we finally announced it to friends after calling our parents the night before of course!

I couldn't wait to go shopping for boy things! I found some really cute things... I never imagined it would be so fun to shop for a boy! I will have to do a baby buys haul video to share what I found!

Hard to believe it has already almost been one full week of knowing it's a boy! I really couldn't be more excited! :)

XOXO

Boy or Girl?!

BOY OR GIRL?!

Hey guys! It's about that time!
14 GENDER PREDICTIONS!

Today is the night before we find out boy or girl! So I thought it would be fun to test out some old wives tales. I found the suggestions from:
http://babyandbump.momtastic.com/pregnancy-second-trimester/506423-big-list-all-old-wives-tales-baby-gender.html

1. Shape of Belly
If you are carrying high with a big, round belly, you are having a girl. If you are carrying low with a smaller belly that sticks straight out, it’s a boy.
*This ones tricky, because I am carrying low, but I feel big and round! I am leaning more toward low tho…
Prediction outcome: BOY

2. Heart Rate
If the baby's heart rate is above 140 bpm, it is said that the baby will be a girl. If it is under 140 bpm, then it will be a boy.
*This baby always has a fast strong hb! I have never seen/heard it under 140!
Prediction outcome: GIRL

3. Ring Test
Using a string, hang your wedding ring over your pregnant belly. You are having a girl if the ring swings back and forth and it’s a boy if it swings in a circle.
*It went in more of an oval, so circle?!
 Prediction outcome: BOY
4. Acne
If you have acne while pregnant, it’s a girl. It’s thought that acne during pregnancy is caused by the extra hormones.
*I have had so many breakouts. Lot's of small patches mainly on my forehead/face, but this is rare for me! Normally my skin is so clear!
Prediction outcome: GIRL

5. Cravings
People believe that if you are craving salty foods while pregnant, you can count on having a boy. If you crave sweets, fruit, and orange juice, you are having a little girl.
*I have had a major sweet tooth! Which I normally don't have!!
Prediction outcome: GIRL

6. Moodiness
If you are really moody, you are having a girl since you have another extra girl hormones in you.
*I've been more emotional… definitely. hah...
Prediction outcome: GIRL

7. Chinese Gender Chart
The Chinese Gender Chart claims to have an accuracy rate of over 90%. It is based on how old the mother is at conception and the month that she conceived.
Prediction outcome: BOY

8. Dream of Sex of Baby
If you have dreams that you are having a boy, you will have a girl. If you dream about having a girl, it will be a boy. Dreams show the opposite of what you are having.
*My dreams are SO vivid.. every single time I have dreamt boy.. They really have me convinced almost 100% that it is a boy!
Prediction outcome: GIRL

9. Side You Most Rest On
If a pregnant woman prefers to lay on her left side, she’s having a boy. If she prefers resting on her right side, she’s having a girl.
*Before pregnancy I always preferred the left, now I despise it and always want to lay on my right!
Prediction outcome: GIRL

10. Dad's Weight Gain
If the dad-to-be gains weight while you are pregnant, it’s a girl. If he doesn’t gain weight, you’re having a boy.
Prediction outcome: BOY

 11. What Do You Think?
71% of the time, the mom-to-be knows what she is having.
*I have had a "gut" feeling that it's a boy.. from the start!!
Prediction outcome: BOY

12. Morning Sickness
If you had a smooth pregnancy with no morning sickness, it’s a boy. If you were sick or felt really nauseous during your pregnancy, count on a girl.
*Not once did I get physically sick (@ least not Week 1-17! Lucky!)
Prediction outcome: BOY

13. Urine
What color is your pee? If it is bright yellow, you will have a little boy. If your urine is a dull yellow, plan on a girl.
Prediction outcome: BOY

14. Headaches
If you are having headaches, you might be carrying a boy.
*Yep, mainly 2nd trimester only tho!
Prediction outcome: BOY

RESULTS:
Boy -8
Girl -6

BOY overall! We will know soon for sure!!!! :)

17 Week Ultrasound! Gender scan and more! (16 weeks, 6 days)

Hey guys!

Today I had a Doctor's appointment just to check in on things and see how the lil baby was doing! I was hoping to find out the gender...but sure enough he/she was being "shy" and my Doc couldn't tell! My husband had to work (important meetings) so I asked the Doc to just write down Boy or Girl on a slip of paper so I could take it home and we could find out at the same time. She thought this was such a sweet idea and turned the monitor away from me right away so I wouldn't be able to see anything (just in case!) But yeah... she couldn't tell! I was so bummed! I realllllly wanted to know! I thought by 17 weeks you could pretty much tell.. but if baby is being shy, then what can you do right?!

Well... I had a back up plan of course.. hah. I called an elective place that was about a 30 minute drive just to check their schedule. I had researched their website and it seemed like a great place! She said she had openings today so I figured ok, let's give this another shot. I had the day off of work anyway, so might as well. I read that drinking orange juice can sometimes help make baby more active, so I drank some about 30 minutes before my appointment. I arrived early and just waited in the parking lot. I started feeling craaaaazy movements! I knew it had to be the lil baby! :)

The ultrasound place was so nice! Very cozy and welcoming! They had a nice large bed to lay in which was very comfy and also soft music playing. There was a large projection screen which made it so easy to see the baby wiggle and move all around! It was so amazing! Usually ultrasounds at the Doc office are rushed and they don't spend much time explaining everything.. but this was such a different experience. She pointed out all the cute little features, I heard the heartbeat again, and let me tell you.. that OJ did the trick!! What a little wiggle worm!!! Baby even threw up two fingers in a "peace" sign! It was so precious to watch for 10 minutes.. and SO worth every penny of the $59. Not only did I get a DVD of the whole session, but also 4 photos and the gender secretly written inside an envelope!

It is SO hard not to peek inside that envelope.. let me tell you! (even tho I really feel its a boy!)
No, we have not opened the envelope yet! I know, crazy right?! We have a special trip planned out where we are going to open and find out together.. but not yet! Don't worry... I will update that when it happens :)

She found out the gender before letting me take a peek at the screen, and when we were looking at the baby she made sure not to go "south" hah.. so it really will be a surprise, which is what we wanted! Originally I kept worrying I would accidentally see something on the screen, but it all worked out and I couldn't be happier! Now it's a waiting game! Not for too much longer tho! Thank goodness!!!

Overall a really exciting day and a great experience! It was so amazing to feel the baby inside and see the movements on the screen at the same time! So crazy. Just makes it more real with each passing day!

Speaking of movement -Baby is wiggling right now as I type! Its crazy how much I feel movement now ever since hitting 17 weeks! I felt it a couple times this past week, but I wasn't 100% sure if it was baby or not. Now I know it is baby!! :) I love feeling the little taps from inside! It does sort of feel like a fluttering feeling that people describe! It's been going craaaaazy today! I guess I may not need to use my doppler as much to check on the baby if I can feel all this!

My Pregnancy *so far*... (16 weeks, 5 days today!)

Welcome to my new baby blog! :)

A lot has happened up to this point, so I will start by answering some commonly asked questions!

I found out I was pregnant back on July 1st, 2013! It was one of the best days of our lives...

My due date: March 11th, 2013
How far along I am today: I am 16 weeks and 5 days pregnant!
First Baby?: Yes! SOOO excited!

I think I am going to split up some major events into their own blog posts, so here are topics coming soon! Suggestions? Let me know!

-How I found out
-How I told my husband
-How we shared the big news with our parents
-Boy or Girl? What do we think/want?
-Stay at home/working?
-Stockpiling/stocking up on baby needs
-Cloth diapering or disposables?
-Gender prediction fun!

Some topics that are more personal and private will not be shared publicly with the world on this blog, so thank you for understanding!

First Trimester Recap:

I was SO tired the first trimester, but that was really my only "symptom"... I felt nauseous a few times, but never once was sick (I know, I was one of the lucky ones!). I didn't crave anything too strange, but I have had a maaaaaajor sweet tooth! I normally don't eat many sweets, but this entire pregnancy they are all I want! Skittles, tootsie rolls, caramel apples, sour patch, ice cream... basically everything BAD haha! I also had a strong aversion to lettuce so I couldn't eat salads for awhile (that has passed... thankfully!)

Second Trimester so far:

I'm a few weeks into my second trimester and I have been feeling pretty good! Headaches were the only new "symptom", and although they have been rough, I'm glad they haven't been too frequent! Sensitive gums and frequent urination have also been "fun". Who doesn't love waking up 2-3 times in the middle of the night!? I know, only 2-3 times?... just wait til the baby is here :). We find out if it's a boy or a girl very soon! I can't wait!!! Once we know then I can really start preparing the nursery and sharing more baby buys with you guys!

I was going to make a post including everything big thats been going on so far, but soon realized that all at once would be way too overwhelming! I think I'm going to leave things here for now and every so often check back in and expand on one of the topics I listed. Feel free to send me questions here or on my YouTube channel (QponFairy) and I will try my best to answer them!

Thanks for joining me on this exciting new chapter! I really look forward to the future yet want to cherish and remember the journey! :)
July 1st, 2013 -14 dpo -The first test I took that morning, and ironically the last test I had in my house!

I rushed to the store to pick up a digital (since I couldn't believe the other test) and I  saw "pregnant" within seconds of taking the test! In shock.......

Penny knows there is something going on in there!! ;)
